Recruiting
Even with the finest housekeeping process in the industry, nothing happens without people. MasterCorp’s Recruiting team is tasked with finding the management talent to maintain and drive company growth. They use a multi-faceted posting, advertising, and training approach to locate and attract the right prospect for each management position available. All managers, in turn, are trained to recruit.
MasterCorp tends to attract better people. Some are attracted by the reputation and values of the company. Some by the growth opportunities. Some by the travel to resort locations. Some by the people who make up MasterCorp. All become a part of a very special group of people who find fulfillment in genuinely serving the customer.
Staffing
Staffing needs at each resort are projected based on historical and seasonal data using a custom program developed by our I.T. team. To attract and maintain the balance of our housekeeping staff, our recruiting staff places ads in local media, as needed, and resort housekeeping managers are trained on where to find staffing prospects in the community. Each MasterCorp location participates in a Refer-A-Friend program, which rewards our best housekeeping talent for recruiting co-workers with similar abilities and character.
A housekeeper with aspirations for management or supervision can follow a career path as a Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Manager-in-Training, Resort Executive Housekeeper and Director of Housekeeping Experience. However, advancement is not a requirement. Great career housekeepers are valued.
MasterCorp values every dedicated employee. Our career opportunity and compensation package is unmatched in the industry. Housekeepers are paid per unit, based on individual performance and productivity levels. This approach rewards efficiency, and our inspection program assures that quality is never sacrificed.
Full-time management employees are eligible for the MasterCorp benefit package, which includes:
- Paid vacations and holidays
- Annual bonuses
- Health and life insurance
- Matching-fund 401k retirement plan
An on-site management team typically includes an Executive Housekeeper, assistants, and supervisors. Occasionally, the housekeeping team at a large resort will be led by a Director of Housekeeping Experience. The Executive Housekeeper or Director of Housekeeping Experience is required to report to the resort manager weekly.
