The Definitive Uniform
Winter/Spring 2010
Coaching & Training
The ultimate purpose of a uniform is to enhance the guest experience, as well as the safety of the employee.
Hair (long) should be tied back/up or confined for both cleanliness and safety.
A Smile should be standard issue for every uniform and used often for greeting guests and resort staff.
Jewelry should be minimal. Loose and dangling jewelry should be removed to avoid potential safety hazards.
Name tag & Branding add a sense of security to the guest experience.
Consistency communicates tidiness. A uniform isn’t uniform unless it’s uniform. All uniforms should be consistent with resort and management company policies.
Pants & Shirts must be neatly pressed and should be a consistent color with all staff positions. Shirt tails should be tucked, unless they are designed to be worn out.
Belts & Socks should coordinate with pants and shoes.
Cleanliness - All housekeeping staff must model cleanliness, not only in their work, but in their personal appearance and hygiene.
Visible Piercings/Tattoos should be minimal/covered to reflect a professional, clean, neat appearance.
Shoes should be non-slip or slip resistant for safety.
