Q: I suffer from asthma, so what do I look for in carpet?

A: There is no published, scientific research demonstrating a link between carpet and its effect on asthma or allergies. Plan for good ventilation during installation and vacuum regularly.

Q: Where can allergy-free carpet be found?

A: There is no known allergy-free floor covering manufactured.

Q: What causes carpet to “buckle?”

A: It can be caused by improper installation, incorrect padding, moving of heavy furniture without glides or high humidity. The most common solution is to remove all furniture and have the carpet re-stretched.

Q: Is carpet padding necessary?

A: Carpet cushion is the lifeblood of the carpet. Except for direct glue-down carpet, correct padding is vital.

Q: I was told that hot water cleaning could cause my carpet to mold. Is that correct?

A: Carpet that is wet cleaned and properly extracted will dry well ahead of any potential development of mold. Remember, MasterCorp provides trained carpetcleaning professionals to service all of your resort’s carpet and upholstery cleaning needs.
