Flat Screen Cleaning

Housekeeping
Flat screen TVs represent a significant investment for your resort. Since the display of a flat panel TV has been specially treated by the manufacturer, improper cleaning can cause permanent damage to the display of a flat screen, and that damage could be replicated from room to room.
To ensure the recommended method of cleaning is used for a specific brand of TV, check the manufacturer’s instructions. If the cleaning instructions are not available, consider this best practice:
Before cleaning any part of the surface, ensure the TV is off and has had time to cool.
To Remove Dust
Wipe the panel surface gently using only a dry microfiber cloth.
For Fingerprints & Smudges
Use a moist microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface. Then, with a dry microfiber cloth, immediately wipe the surface evenly until dry.
Other Tips:
- Do not use any cleaning chemicals, agents or products unless specified by the manufacturer of the TV.
- Do not use paper towels on the TV display; their use could damage the surface.
- Do not spray water directly on the display.
- Do not allow hard objects to touch the display.
- Do not scrub the display hard, apply only very gentle pressure.
